The Lord Botetourt High School Marching Cavalier Band is a show and competition program consisting of 92 members. There are 21 guard members. The band also has some members from Read Mountain Middle School. The Marching Cavaliers have competed in many competitions, both in and out of state. The Marching Cavaliers are under the direction of band director C. Caldwell, assistant band director J. Lawson, percussion instructor J. Wright, and drill designer V. Stewart.

No Practice Friday

Due to various reasons, including preparation for band camp and consideration for leaving instruments in the truck over the weekend, practice on Friday has been canceled.

URGENT NEW MUSIC UPDATE

New Music is available. For those of you that have updated your Charms info I will be emailing you the music as a pdf. If you have not updated - GET IT DONE!! You will not need the opener that you received right after school. The new opener is very similiar but it is now a medley - details are in the email that you will receive with the part.

Below you will find a link for Carolina Crown's online store, you can find the B.E.R.P. (brass only), the Airmax Breather (woodwinds only - found under "Brass" heading), and our marching shoes. The shoes are under "marching supplies". You must order the MTX shoes in WHITE . No other colors or brands are acceptable. Order soon so that they will arrive well before time.

If anyone needs to meet with me, please check my summer office hours/dates below.

Out of office June 16th to June 19th
Hours for June 20th to 25: 9 to 5
Hours for July 1st to July 3rd: 9 to 5
July 21st and 22nd: 12 to 6
July 24th and 25th: 3 to 8:30
July 28th to Aug 1: 9 to 5
August 3rd to 8th: Greenbrier Youth Camp - BAND CAMP
August 11th till school starts: 8:30 to 4:30

Updates and New Information

In the next couple of days the Band Handbook, Medical Form, Statement of Personal Commitment, and Handbook Verification form will be placed on this page. Please take the time to download the information, print and turn in what is necessary. Also Mr. Caldwell will be sending home information concerning a new program that he will be using to help better manage parent/student communication and other band related things. Look for the information to come home on Thursday, June 5.
